Qigong for Relaxation adopts Zhineng Qigong (Zhi means the wisdom of life, Neng means the ability of sublimating life), exercise methods to relax the body and mind, because of its benefits on health and wellness, Zhineng Qigong has been recommended since 1997 as the number one Qigong exercise method by the Chinese General Administration of Sport and Chinese Exercise Committee.

Description

Yang Style Tai Chi is the first form that branches out from Chen Style. The movement of this form is less complex and is structured in a coherent pattern. Proper postures are required throughout the whole form. With proper training, this exercise enhances Blood circulation, improve health, and prevent sickness. The lessons will begin from the very basic and will be conducted in a systematic manner. It is suitable for all ages.

Master Geng Zhang Cai is the Canadian national Wushu team coach, official Wushu judge certified by IWUF. He has more than 30 years of Wushu and Tai Chi teaching experience. His students had won a gold medal at the World Junior Wushu Championship and 15 gold medals at the World Traditional Wushu Championship.

Hung Gar Kung Fu, originating from the Shao Lin Temple, is one of the renowned Wu Shu branches of China. Hung Gar Kung Fu is an effective self-defense exercise when continuously practised is very healthy for the body.

Master Harry Cheung learned Hung Gar from a well-known master Hong Kong: Grand Master Lam Jo (95 years old). Lam Jo’s master is Lam Sai Wing who learned Hung Gar from the famous Master Wong Fai Hung.Grand Master Lam Jo has taught many students from all over the world. Harry has been practising Hung Gar for about 40 years in Hong Kong. He also had a number of years of training in Judo and Wu Shu – Modern Chinese martial art. Bagua Sword is the senior level in China Ba Gua martial arts. Bagua Sword combines the steps and practice of circle walking in Bagua Zhang. The practice of balance from Yang and Chen's style Taichi are also blended into the movements of Bagua Sword. The practice of Bagua Sword will enhance the balance of human body and flexibility of joints. Bagua Sword focuses on mind instead of strength. It coordinates our “chi”, body, heart, movements and sword to reach the harmony of our body and the sword. Rudy Mo won the championship in both Tai Chi Quan and Tai Chi Sword in the First World Tai Chi Quan Wellness Conference.

Description

Tai Xu Quan is one type of Wudang internal boxing, with the same origin and theory of Tai Chi but different focuses. Tai Xu focuses on the “inborn status” while Tai Chi emphasizes the “acquired status”. Tai Xu means limitlessness when Yin and Yang are mixed as one Qi “brewing” in the body. Tai Xu Quan takes “theory as guidance, health-preservation as purpose, boxing as the last choice, morality as attitude, nature as spirit”.

 武當太虛拳與太極拳同源異流,其理均一,練習時注重用意不用力,純以柔和運動,強健內臟,并利用關節的旋轉動作來牽拉頸部肩部、肘部、腰部、胯部的肌肉韌帶。練習武當太虛拳是一種很好的養生之術。

Description

Wing Chun is a scientific close range combat system developed by a nun at the Southern Shaolin temple back in the Ming Dynasty about 300 years ago. It studies the use of proper body mechanics and structure to generate its soft yet explosive power or to neutralise/use the opponent’s force. This is intended to be an on-going class which will teach Wing Chun hand forms, applications, and Wing Chun sticky hands – a combat simulation exercise that transforms the fighting techniques into natural reflexes.

Class instructions will be given by Masters Tony Yung and Kam Wong both with over 15 years of coaching experience. Both are third-generation students of Master Ye Wen.

詠春着重簡單實用,講求琑打同時,借力打力,拳勁快,柔而猛,可說是一門力學與武術的混合體,是自衛的首選。本課程教授詠春拳套路,散手及詠春黐手。從黐手練習,學員可將所學的詠春手法化為自然反應。

Yi Jin Jing/ Tendon-Muscle Strengthening Exercises is an accessible, fully-illustrated guide to a particular qigong exercise that focuses on turning and flexing the spine.

Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu is one of the most popular traditional Chinese Martial Arts. Chan Heung was the Grand Father as well as the originator of Choy Lee Fut. Chan Heung had combined three different fighting styles and techniques to create Choy Lee Fut. Today we learn Choy Lee Fut to develop self-discipline, learn respect, have fun, keep fit and gain self-confidence. Choy Lee Fut is excellent for keeping the body fit, mind focused and increasing flexibility and reflexes. While learning in this course, students would be able to learn the techniques of self-defense, weapons forms, sparring and advanced techniques (sandbag and wooden dummy forms).  All age are welcome.
